June 10        Soulmate was performed by cellist David Hetherington at St. Andrews Church in Toronto. This concert was presented by TO.U Collective.

July 31         String Quartet No. 5 (Mountain Song) was performed by The Penderecki String Quartet: Jeremy Bell, Jerzy Kaplanek, Christine Vlajk, and Katie Schlaikjer, in Ottawa during the ChamberFest Festival.

June 22    Cool Mountain Water was broadcast on CBC Radio One’s Sunday Edition with host Michael Enlight. This work was recorded by Duo Concertante: Nancy Dahn, violin & Tim Steeves, piano on ATMA.

August 15     Soulmate was performed by cellist Rachel Mercer and a string orchestra conducted by Michelle Mourre during the Rosamunde Summer Festival at Rosamunde Summer Music Academy in Winnipeg.

April 5          Monastery Behind the Mountain (2013), version for Chinese instruments: Dizi, Sheng, Pipa, Zheng, Erhu, and 1 Percussion, was premiered at the Suzhou Western Bodhi Academy in Su Zhou, China. Performers were from the Jiangsu Performing Art Group National Orchestra.

April 7          Ave Maris Stella (1995) was performed by Peninsula Women’s Chorus and Canada’s Elektra Women’s Chorus during the 6th Annual Festival of New Music for Treble Voices at All Saints Episcopal Church in Palo Alto, California.

August 5       Harmonious Interest (2012)was premiered by Victoria Symphony under the direction of Tania Miller in their Splash Concert at Victoria Inner  Harbour, British Columbia.

August 27     Temptation was performed by Chan Ka Nin (electric guitar) and Alice Ho (piano) at a private function in Vancouver, BC.

September 1          Iron Road, the movie, which is based on my opera of the same title was broadcasted on CBC at 9 pm.

October 18   Ambiance was premiered by clarinetist Jessica Tse at Ford-Crawford Hall in Bloomington, Indiana, USA.

October 27   Gave a talk about three Amenian composers: Arutunian, Mirzoyan, and Khachaturian at a Sinfonia Toronto concert as composer-in-residence.

November 4  Celebration for Life and Death (2008) was performed by Sheng player Wu Wei, violinists Matthias Leupold, Juan González, violist Yoo Chang-Yun, and cellist Gabriella Strümpel at the Dahlem Museum in Berlin.

April 15            Par-çi, par-là (1996) won the Juno Award for Best Classical Composition [St. John's Newfoundland]. The work was performed by Ensemble Contemporain de Montreal under Véronique Lacroix. It was broadcast on CBC's Music and Company (8:30 am).

April 21            The composer was featured in a CFMT Program at 9:30 pm. Many excerpts of his music were played in the segments. This program can be seen as far as Edmonton.
